How to pair your call buttons to the L4 watch

Your P1 and R1 call buttons ship unpaired, so you pair each one to your L4 watches once, before service. After that, every press shows on the watch with the table number or area name.

Before you start

  1. Charge the L4 watch with the charging cable in the box.
  2. Check that each button has its 23A battery in place. It ships installed.
  3. Sort the buttons by table or area. A small sticker on each one keeps the order straight.
  4. Stay close to the watch while you pair. Normal range is 230 to 260 ft, but close is safer.

Pair a button

  1. On the watch, tap MENU, then the blue Transmitters icon (a finger pressing a button).
  2. Enter the password 0000 and tap the green check.
  3. Tap Group, then the group you want (Group 1 if you use one), then Buttons, then Add. The watch shows "Please Trigger Trans..." and "Please Select Number".
  4. Set the table number for this button with the +1, +10 and +100 keys (-1, -10 and -100 go back). After each save the number goes up by one, so the next button gets the next table.
  5. Want a name instead? Tap the green up arrow, type up to 6 characters and tap the green check.
  6. Press the call button once. It lights up when pressed.
  7. The watch shows "Save Success" and the number it saved to, for example "Save To:001".
  8. Repeat for each button.
  9. Test it at the table. The watch should vibrate, beep and show the table and the wait time.

More than one watch

Each L4 holds up to 180 buttons. If several servers carry watches, pair each button to every watch that should get its calls. Settings are not copied from one watch to another, so repeat the steps on each watch.

Remove a button

  1. Tap MENU, then the blue Transmitters icon, enter 0000 and tap the green check.
  2. Tap Delete.
  3. Press the button you want to remove. The watch shows "Transmitter Valid" and its number.
  4. Tap the red X. The watch shows "Deleted".

If a button does not show up

  • Check the watch charge.
  • Check that the 23A battery sits firmly in the button.
  • Move closer to the watch and pair again.
